Stupid heater control bulbs!

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

on the volkswagens you just grabbed the switch with a pair of pliers and yanked the front of the dial off to reveal the bulb (having wrapped the jaws in a little piece of rubber) . A straight pull btw

Not sure that will work...the unit is similar to that on the 850, when we had one the knob fell off, well snapped, revealing only plastic&no bulb.

as far as i can remember, (sorry it was a long time ago when i had to deal with it) you can just take off the three knob, so you will see the bolts wich you need to screw off, in order to take out the front panel, and underneath you find the bulbs. If not, then I remember wrong and you will have to remove the unit, wich is a bit more complicated but I can explain how, if you will need it.

Just pull off the knobs. Than prise off the panel behind the knobs with a small screwdriver starting around the corners. Behind the panel you'll find 2 small bajonet bulbs.
